The God Stack 1.0 (in progress)

“It doesn’t matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn’t matter how smart you are. If it doesn’t agree with experiment, it’s wrong.” -Richard P. Feynman, 1965 Nobel Prize Winner

Why the h@#$ are you stacking god?

As some of you may remember, I’ve been working on “The God Stack” (TGS) for some time now (I effusively apologize for my love of absurd names! ha).

The basic theory behind TGS is this: supranormal cognition will be caused by making: 1 )  MANY (as you will see below), 2) small (micro-dosing is our mega-friend), 3) simultaneous changes.

For the past year, I’ve been focusing on as many different mechanisms as I possibly can (somebody needs to get out more).

Here’s a brief list of those mechanisms and substances that activate them. Enjoy!

Hi Liam, check out my newer posts especially the ones about bright light therapy and things you can combine with light to enhance its effects. Every enhancement starts with light coming in through your eyes. I just posted a bunch of random things from my posts over at Longecity and I’ll be cleaning them up soon but for now look at Bright Light Therapy and my Day Frame. These are the most important things you can do and everything else should center around them.

Since you are in high school and therefore <= to 18 years of age you need to make sure you get 9 hours of sleep every night, get bright light every day, exercise 30min every day, etc. See my Day Frame for more on that. Also, make sure that you have no nutrient deficiencies. See my post on Nutrient Deficiencies. Go to a free site like Cronometer and input your nutrition and check to make sure that you are meeting the minimum RDA for all essential fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, water, etc.

Once you are getting all your sunlight, exercise, sleep, and nutrients THEN you can worry about herbs, etc. None of those other things matter until you have the basics covered. After that, you can probably add caffeine to enhance the effects of bright light and if you get all these things in place you’ll realize that all those herbs are unnecessary.

Additionally, see my post on Spaced Generation Learning. You want to use a flashchard program like Anki to practice generating answers to questions in an ordered fashion. You can link and order your answers buy building simple pictures that connect ideas. Then, generate that picture when you are answering your flashcards and your memory will skyrocket.

Build a Day Frame to master light and time, use Spaced Generation Learning to optimize your memory, make sure you have no deficiencies, etc. and you will be MILES ahead of your peers. I wish you the best!

You are a madman… and I mean that in the most positive of ways, lol. If you’re taking all of those at once your mind must be in a different stratosphere than the rest of us. Is that your current daily stack that you take long term?

      Haha Thanks, Matt!

I don’t take the God Stack every day. It was an experiment I did to test what would happen if I simultaneously enhanced numerous pathways attributed to learning and memory. I’m currently working on even more powerful variations of it which I hope will be of use not just to healthy brains but to Alzheimer’s and MCI patients as well.

Hey lostfalco, great blog you got here!

You turned me on to intra-nasal insulin, I’m really liking the nootropic effects. After a few weeks of experimentation I’ve decided to just dose in the evening before bed and after a meal it really helps me relax and fall asleep.

Question about MSH2 (melanocyte stimulating hormone 2), you give a reason of intense neurogenesis do you have any studies to back this up? I haven’t been able to find anything online to support this.

Thanks keep up with the good blog!

Thanks, homeomorpheus! Very cool that i-insulin is working so well for you. I really like it before bed as well.

The MSH2 is a bit speculative due to the evidence being primarily rodent based so take it with a grain of salt. It’s still really interesting though.

    Hi Lost Falco,

Very keen to know more about the above dosages etc..! Also, have you thought about posting about the big 6? Food, meditation etc.. I, as I’m sure others too, would love to read. Thanks!

Hey Ben, good questions! I left out dosages for two main reasons: 1) I don’t necessarily want anyone to try this (for safety reasons), 2) everyone is different so the dosages are going to vary anyway. Tbh, The God Stack took me almost a year of experimenting to refine and that was after I had already been testing many of those substances for years prior. It definitely requires an incremental approach and I’d recommend trying low doses of each substance one by one to see which ones work for you and which ones don’t.

I will definitely be talking more about The Big Six in coming posts! =)

    Hey Lostfalco

Its great to see that you have started to work on your blog.

Which of these would you rank as your top 3 supplements/drugs for mental endurance?

Thanks, raicha! It only took me 3 years to set up my own blog. ha

If you’re looking to enhance mental endurance I would focus first and foremost on the body’s primary energy producers…mitochondria. LLLT enhances the activity of mitochondria while PQQ and tadalafil are involved in mitochondrial biogenesis. It’s pretty tough to get any more fundamental than this when it comes to enhancing mental energy and therefore endurance.

Here are my experience with the products in the god stack…

(But first some background- male in early thirties. Main issues are fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, depression, in that order.)

MSH2: I tried PT-141 instead of MSH2 because I’m afraid of increasing my moles and wary of tanning. Libido boost was great. Slight nausea especially first time. Finished nasal spray; would repeat.

    Galantamine: Just bought.

MK-677: took one 10mg dose at night recently. Sleep felt heavier, dreams stronger. However I suffered from very strong fatigue the next two days and stopped immediately bc of this.

    IDRA-21: Wary of this.

Phenylalanine + Tyrosine + Glutamine: Taking these first thing in morning on empty stomach as pre-workout. Works great. Ran out of glutamine awhile ago.

PQQ: Been taking for several months. No acutely noticeable effect.

Modafinil: Have taken in past. 200 mg gives me bad headaches. 50 mg is good.

Selegiline: Took 1.25 mg (quarter of tablet from alldaychemist) daily several years ago. I believe it caused hypertensive crisis. Scariest and worst experience with nootropics I have ever had. Proceed with caution, especially regarding interactions (eg cigarettes, alcohol).

Tadalafil: Great for libido and sex.

ALCAR: never noticed acute effects but I’m running it now.

Pregnenolone: Helps with energy and mood. Brightens experience. I’m wary of downregulating endogenous production of this hormone. Falco, what dosage would you say is upper limit for this?

Resistant Starch: never noticed acute effects but I have faith in this one and I’m running it now.

    Bright Light Device: worth it

    ITPP: Haven’t tried.

Lithium Orotate: levels mood. I like it. Subtle.

96 LED Infrared Illuminator: I do LLLT inconsistently. I know it does something because the day after the first night I did it, I was crazy fatigued, but also strangely lucid.

Methylene Blue: wary of this one.

Caffeine + Tadalafil/NO: like the effects. Who doesn’t/wouldn’t?

Bronkaid/Ephedrine: Not tried yet. This may be next on my list.

Anki: not tried yet. Falco, do you think this would be good for learning programming / web development?

The 20/10 Method: I want to use this to get work done at my home, not necessarily for “learning”. Eg. 20 min working on resume, 10 min playing videogames.

Big 6: definitely need to work on these. I tried standing while working one day and it totally exhausted me. Very concerning.

Falco, any extra advice for the fatigue would be appreciated.

(I know you’re not a medical doctor and I do plan on seeing one soon.)

    Cheers!

      Damn. Thanks for the feedback!

That’s a pretty good hit rate. Glad you’ve found so many things that have worked for you.

As far as fatigue goes…inflammation, insulin resistance, thyroid issues, testosterone, mitochondrial issues, etc. can all play a part.

As you mentioned, the Big Six are gonna be your best bet to start with. They cast the widest net and hit pretty much every item the list.

If standing makes you tired, don’t worry about building it up over time. Stand until you start to feel tired and then sit for a bit. Nothing wrong with incremental improvement.

As far as web development goes, the best thing is certainly going to be actually programming but Anki can definitely be useful for reviewing key concepts and language specifics. I like to use it on my phone while waiting in line, riding the bus, etc.

One last bit of advice on the 20/10 method. I wouldn’t recommend playing video games in between 20 minute study periods. The resting time is just as important as the study time and you want to do something as mentally ‘untaxing’ as possible. If 10 minutes seems a bit long, try 5 and see how it works for you.

I like to take a quick walk, go the restroom, meditate, etc. Added mental stimulation likely leads to interference effects and will limit the method’s effectiveness (imo).

    Hey lostfalco, love your blog.

this list would be much more readable if you wrote out the compound name first. E.g. “Mk-677 (Ghrelin) [url].

Also it seems like this post should be stickied or be linked to in the main menu.

I know you advocate minimum effective dosing, which may vary for everyone, but please consider listing your doses here as ballpark values.

In general, I think the main page should display only excerpts of posts, not the full body.

    Keep up the good work!
